The municipality of Valvasone Arzene (Furlanisch Volesòn Dàrzin ) was created on January 1, 2015 by merging the previously independent municipalities of Valvasone and Arzene . It is located in northeast Italy in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region east of Pordenone. On December 31, 2019, there were 3,909 inhabitants on the territory of Valvasone Arzene. Markus Maurmair became the first mayor of the new municipality.

Valvasone Arzene is a member of the I borghi più belli d'Italia association (The Most Beautiful Places in Italy).

The municipality is located in the Venetian Plain at 46 to 79 m above sea level (on average 59 m above sea level) and covers a municipal area of almost 30 km². In addition to the larger towns of Arzene, San Lorenzo and Valvasone, it has nine other villages and hamlets: Casamatta, Fornasini, Grava, Majaroff, Ponte Delizia, Pozzodipinto, San Gaetano, Sassonia, Tabina and Torricella.
