Rive d'Arcano (in the Furlan dialect: Rives Darcjàn ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2392 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . The municipality is located about 17 kilometers west-northwest of Udine .

history

The old castle was built in the 12th century on the foundations of an even older fortification from the 10th century.
