Paularo ( Furlanic : Paulâr ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2,457 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . The municipality is located about 66 kilometers north-northwest of Udine and belongs to the Comunità Montana della Carnia . The Monte Sernio rises in the municipality to 2,187 meters and the Monte Zermula to over 2,104 meters.
history
Due to the destruction of the archives of the Villamezzo district in 1709, the history of the municipality is difficult to understand . The graves that were found near the Misincinis hamlet belong to the Latène culture.
