The municipality of Cordenons is located in north-eastern Italy in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . It is located north of Pordenone and has 18,300 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). Due to the increase in population, the city of Pordenone slowly grows together with Cordenons.

In addition to the capital Cordenons, the municipality includes six other villages and hamlets: Nogaredo, Pasch, Tramit, Sclavons, Piazza and Villa d'Arco. The neighboring municipalities are Pordenone, San Giorgio della Richinvelda , San Quirino , Vivaro and Zoppola .
