Population development
Traffic routes
Important traffic routes, which essentially connect Rome with Vienna , run through the municipality .
railroad
The old, abandoned route of the " Pontebbana " runs right through the town of Chiusaforte, while the new railway line runs invisibly in a long tunnel through the mountain. Today, part of the Alpe-Adria-Radweg from Salzburg to Grado on the Adriatic runs along the old railway line .
Streets
In addition to the state road , which, like the railway , runs through the town in the Fellatal , the A 23 motorway also runs in the floodplain of the Fella River and represents an important European traffic route.
A side road branches off from Chiusaforte and winds through the narrow Raccolana valley in an easterly direction up to the Nevea saddle.
