Aiello del Friuli ( Friulian Dael ) is a municipality in the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia , Italy with 2,211 inhabitants (December 31, 2019). The town of Joannis (Furlanisch Uanis ), which was independent until 1927 , also belongs to the community .
geography
The neighboring communities are Bagnaria Arsa , Campolongo al Torre , Cervignano del Friuli , Ruda , San Vito al Torre and Visco .
The next larger cities are Udine (about 30 km north), Gorizia (about 28 km northeast) and Trieste (about 50 km southeast). The A4 Autostrada ( Serenissima ) runs north of the village from Turin to Trieste through the municipality.
history
The municipality was part of the county of Gorizia and Gradisca until the end of the First World War , and was subordinate to the judicial district of Cervignano , which in turn was part of the district of Monfalcone .
