Palazzolo dello Stella (in the Furlan dialect: Palaçûl or Palassôl ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2934 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . The municipality is located about 31.5 kilometers south-southwest of Udine . In the south of the municipality there is a small strip of the Adriatic coast on the Laguna di Marano .

Strada Statale 14 della Venezia Giulia leads through the municipality from Venice or Mestre to the Slovenian border. The Palazzolo dello Stellas train station is on the Venice – Trieste railway line . In the municipality there is a small airfield ( Aviosuperficie Piancada ) for general aviation .
