Capriva del Friuli (in the Furlan dialect Caprive and in the Slovenian Koprivno ; German Kapriwa ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1641 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . The municipality is located about 8.5 kilometers west of Gorizia and belongs to the Comunità Montana del Torre, Natisone e Collio .

The municipality is located on the former Strada Statale 56 di Gorizia (now a regional road) from Udine to Gorizia. The Capriva del Friuli station is served by trains on the Udine – Trieste line.
