Trasaghis ( Furlanic : Trasàghis or Trasagas ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 2171 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . The municipality is located about 22 kilometers north-northwest of Udine on the right bank of the Tagliamento and belongs to the Comunità Montana del Gemonese, Canal del Ferro e Val Canale . In the northeast of the municipality is the Lago di Cavazzo . In 1976 the community was badly damaged by an earthquake .

The A23 autostrada from Palmanova to Tarvisio and the former Strada Statale 512 del Lago di Cavazzo (now a regional road) lead through the municipality from Tolmezzo to Gemona del Friuli .
