The municipality of Casarsa della Delizia is located in north-east Italy in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . It is located east of Pordenone and has 8404 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

In addition to the main town Casarsa della Delizia, the municipality includes five other localities and hamlets: Boscat, San Floreano, San Giovanni, Versuta and Villa Sile. It has an area of ​​20.4 km². The neighboring municipalities are Arzene , Fiume Veneto , San Vito al Tagliamento , Valvasone , Zoppola and Codroipo (Province of Udine).

The writer and director Pier Paolo Pasolini worked as a primary school teacher in Casarsa della Delizia, the home of his grandparents, in the 1940s. Here he found his final resting place in the village cemetery in 1975.
