Codroipo is a municipality in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia with 16,098 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). The name is derived from the Latin "Quadrivium" because four streets crossed here, the most important of which was the Via Postumia.
Codroipo lies on the left bank of the Tagliamento .
In the district of Passariano is the Villa Manin , where the Campo Formio peace treaty between France and Austria was signed in 1797 .
On the territory of the municipality, near Rivolto, there is a military airfield of the Italian Air Force . This is where the Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team is based.
