Ovaro (in the Furlan dialect: Davâr ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1835 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . The municipality is located about 60 kilometers north-northwest of Udine on the Degano river in a mountain valley of Monte Zoncolan and belongs to the Comunità Montana della Carnia .
