Pulfero (Slovenian: Podbuniesac ) is a north-eastern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 876 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region . The municipality is located about 22 kilometers northeast of Udine on the Natisone directly on the border with Slovenia and belongs to the Comunità Montana del Torre, Natisone e Collio .
