The Raccolana Valley ( Italian Val Raccolana , Friulian Cjanâl di Racolane , Slovenian Reklanska dolina ) is located in the Julian Alps . The 13 km long valley lies in the area of ​​the municipality of Chiusaforte , in the province of Udine . It extends from west to east and has a narrow point between the rock faces of the Cimone in the north and the Kanin in the south. It is traversed by the torrente of the same name , the 15 km long Raccolana , which flows into the Fella at Chiusaforte .

Raccolana Valley

The deeply furrowed valley is sparsely populated. There are small, barren villages that are now almost deserted. Along the valley road SP 76 from west to east these are:
