The Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade (ZV) is a professional and employer organization, trade association and interest group for the hairdressing trade in Germany.

Advocacy

The Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade (ZV) represents the general interests of the German hairdressing trade as a federal guild association . It brings together 13 national guild associations , the membership base of which is over 250 hairdressing guilds . Together they form the professional organization of the hairdressing trade. As a professional organization, the ZV represents the economic and political interests of the hairdressing trade vis-à-vis the government, parliament, ministries and authorities at federal level. Subject-specific focal points are collective bargaining and social policy, vocational training and promotion, as well as all specialist topics such as fashion marketing, fashion premieres, trade fairs and championships. He wants to promote the image of hairdressers with press and public relations work.

history

The Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade was founded in Leipzig in 1872 as the first central organization of the German hairdressing trade as the "Association of German Barbers" . The Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade, based in Cologne, is a member of the Trade Association of Entrepreneurs (UDH) and the Central Association of the German Trade at the headquarters of the Federal Government in Berlin .

Harald Esser from Cologne, who is also chairman of the North Rhine-Westphalia regional guild association, has been the successor to the current honorary president of the central association and the Bavarian regional guild association, Andreas Popp (term of office 2002-2014), president of the central association. Alfred Preußner (term of office 1987–2002) is also honorary president.
