The Hämmerli x-esse is a small caliber - sport pistol of sporting weapons manufacturer Carl Walther . Production took place at the Hämmerli company in Switzerland until 2005 . Production and customer service have been at Carl Walther in Ulm since 2006 .
The pistol is available in the versions Hämmerli x-esse IPSC , Hämmerli x-esse short , Hämmerli x-esse long and Hämmerli x-esse Sport . The models with a modular structure differ only slightly, if at all, in their basic structure.
The weapon can be regarded as the successor to the Walther Olympia , which was manufactured under license by Hämmerli from 1952, and the following models, the Walther Olympia Model 207 and Hämmerli 212, as well as the Hämmerli 208 & 215, although the X-esse is more simply constructed and therefore cheaper to manufacture and sell can be.
