Håvard Flo (born April 4, 1970 in Stryn ) is a former Norwegian football player .
Career
Flo started his career at Stryn IL before joining the Songdal IL youth B in 1999. There he started his active professional career in 1990 in the Tippeligaen , the highest Norwegian league. With the club he was relegated to the Adeccoligaen in 1993 , but immediately rose again the following year. This was followed by a move to the Danish Super League , where Flo played for Aarhus GF for three seasons before he was signed by Werder Bremen in 1996 . After a two-year engagement with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Football League Championship , Flo finally moved back to Sogndal Fotball in the Tippeligaen in 2001, where he played over 150 games in the following seven years - but again in the from 2005 after relegation second division. His last two games were the relegation games against the table penultimate in the first division, Aalesunds FK , in November 2008. Sogndal lost 4-1 in the first leg and 3-1 in the second leg, with Flo scoring the only away goal and also receiving applause from the opposing fans. He then ended his active career before making his comeback in the 2010 season. After the now 40-year-old scored 2 goals in 21 games, Flo finally ended his career in November 2010.
International
Between 1996 and 2004 Flo also appeared 26 times for the national team of his home country. Among other things, he completed four games at the 1998 World Cup and scored one goal.
As a trainer / manager
He has been in the management of Sogndal IL since 2010 and has been the club's assistant coach since 2011. Flo also trains the U-18 local national team for the Sogn og Fjordane district together with Sebastian Kaldestad .
Private
He is the cousin of the soccer players Jostein Flo , Tore André Flo and Jarle Flo and the uncle of Per Egil Flo .
