Héctor Hernández Ezpitia (born March 6, 1973 in Mexico City ) is a former Mexican football player who was used both at the beginning and at the end of his career as a striker and has meanwhile acted in midfield .

career

Hernández Ezpitia began his professional career in 1992 at Monarcas Morelia , for which he first appeared on August 15, 1992 in a game in the Mexican Primera División and immediately contributed a goal to the 2-1 victory of his team at Club Universidad de Guadalajara .

Although he scored a total of eleven goals in his first two seasons for Morelia, he could not establish himself permanently in the first team and scored in the 1994/95 season in only eight missions not a single goal. Also at his next first division stations CF Pachuca and Cruz Azul he scored no goal, where he was only used four times for Pachuca in the 1996/97 season and only once for Cruz Azul in the 1998 summer tournament and was ordered into midfield.

At his next stop, Santos Laguna , Hernández Ezpitia became a regular in midfield again and scored two goals.

In the 2003/04 season he was with a total of 23 goals, which he scored in the league round and the subsequent Liguillas for Inter Riviera Maya , the best Mexican goalscorer this second division season . Ezpitia, now again acting as a striker, went to the Huracanes de Colima along with the club's second division license, which was used to establish a new franchise at the end of the same season .
