Héctor Daniel "Tito" Villalba (born July 26, 1994 in Buenos Aires ) is a Paraguayan - Argentine football player . The striker is under contract with Club Libertad and is a Paraguayan international .

Career

Villalba already played for CA San Lorenzo de Almagro in his youth and was part of the first team from 2012. On August 19, 2012, he came in the 0-1 defeat in the home game against Estudiantes de La Plata for his first appearance in the Argentine first division , in which he was substituted on after 82 minutes. He scored his first goal on April 13, 2013 in a 4-1 defeat in the home game against Racing Club de Avellaneda to the meanwhile 1-0 lead after seven minutes. In 2014 Villalba won the Copa Libertadores with the club and was used in all final round games.

In July 2016, Villalba was signed by the major league soccer franchise Atlanta United . Since Atlanta only started its gaming operations in 2017, Villalba was loaned out directly to Club Tijuana and returned to Atlanta in January 2017. After his return, he became a regular at Atlanta and had 90 league games with 21 goals in three seasons. With the club he won the MLS Cup in 2018 and the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup in 2019 .

In January 2020, Villalba returned to Paraguay and moved to Club Libertad .

National team

Villalba made his debut on November 20, 2018 in a 1-1 draw in a friendly against South Africa in the Paraguayan senior team .
