Hélène Kaziendé

Hélène Kaziende (* 15. August 1967 in Niamey ; also Hélène Kaziende-Djondo ) is a Nigerien writer.

Life

Hélène Kaziendé holds a Magistra Artium and a degree in journalism. She has lived in the Togolese capital Lomé since 1996 . There she teaches at the Kouvahey private school and works as a journalist.

Kaziendé writes in French . In 1991 her short story Le Déserteur won a literature competition by Radio Africa No. 1 . In her first novel, Aydia , published in 2006, she described the different lives of two African women. In 2011, her political novel Les fers de l'absence was published .
