Höllenblitz - The Coaster is the name of a transportable dark rollercoaster of the showman Klaus Renoldi junior. Before the facility was completely redesigned in winter 2006/2007, it traveled under the name Star World with a space theme, from 1992 to 1997 as Magic Mountain with an adventure theme.
With its external dimensions of 50 meters wide, 30 meters deep and a front height of 32 meters, the railway is the largest transportable indoor railway in the world. 65 truckloads are required to transport the 600-ton structure .
The three trains of the roller coaster consist of 15 cars, the first is designed as a mine cart and does not have any seats. The other cars each have two seats for passengers. The chaises are freely rotating so that they can rotate uncontrollably around their own vertical axis during the entire journey. The trains are transported to the maximum rail height of 18 meters using a friction wheel drive. After the lift hill, the train comes to a section with a total of 12 high-performance friction wheel motors, which accelerate the train to 40 km / h in around 2.5 seconds.
In addition to the optical redesign to create a hell of a flash , the route of the train, which was originally built by the Stein company, was slightly changed in cooperation with the Stengel engineering office. For example, the first exit, the only point where the train is visible to the public outside the hall, was pulled down almost to the floor. Inside, new light and fire effects and mine-style figures have been installed. On the outside, in addition to the front, the sides and back have been redecorated with foils designed by the Düsseldorf artist Maciej Bernhardt. An artificial waterfall was installed in the middle of the front. Furthermore, the lettering Höllenblitz was executed in LED technology and offers the option of multi-colored, changing lighting.
The premiere as Hellbolt took place at the Stuttgart Spring Festival from April 21, 2007.
From March to the end of August 2017, the train will operate on the grounds of the Wiener Wurstelprater and then move on to the Munich Oktoberfest .
In the 2019 season, with the exception of the Oktoberfest, the railway is in the Serengetipark Hodenhagen and in the 2020 season it is also in the Serengetipark.
Star World
As the Star World , the track was designed in a futuristic space theme. The journey in the dark was supposed to simulate a flight through space. In addition, many small lights and models of planets and asteroids were installed in the hall. In order to attract attention, the 18 meter tall and 33 ton heavy animatronic figure Galactor was set up in front of the system .
The trains still had a total of 30 seats, and the first car was also rotatable and designed with seats for passengers.
Magic Mountain
The eye-catcher of this jungle- themed adventure track was a huge gorilla animatronic figure sitting on top of the front. Inside it was not as dark as in the subsequent designs, there were effects with waterfalls, among other things.
