Hörgárdalur

The Hörgárdalur is a valley in northern Iceland .
geography
The Hörgá river flows through this 30 km long valley and flows into the Eyjafjörður from the southwest . The ring road from Akureyri runs 10 km to the west in this valley. Then it follows the tributary Öxnadalsá through the Öxnadalur .
At the northeastern end of the Hörgárdalur lies the Möðruvellir farm , where Jón Sveinsson and Hannes Hafstein were born.
