The Hörster Egge is a hill up to 206 m high south of Billinghausen , a district of the city of Lage in the district of Lippe in North Rhine-Westphalia . The eponymous place Hörste , also a district of Lage, is located south of the Hörster Egge. The hill is on a long stretched limestone ridge in front of the Teutoburg Forest to the north . This is where the approximately 53.7 hectare Hörster Egge conservation area is located . The Hörster Bach rises between the Hörster Egge and the Münterburg, and the Gruttbach rises on the northern slope .

In the vicinity there are a number of barrows that are protected as ground monuments .
