Höstsonaten is a progressive rock project founded in Genoa in 1996 by Fabio Zuffanti .
Details
The band is named after the film drama Herbstsonate of Ingmar Bergman . The style is Symphonic Prog, comparable to e.g. B. the early Genesis . Most of the musicians are recruited from Zuffanti's main band Finisterre , together with changing guest musicians.
The first album Höstsonaten was released under the band name Finisterre Project, after which they renamed themselves after the title of this CD. The four albums released between 2002 and 2011 are grouped under the title "SeasonsCycle Suite" and form a legend about the seasons. The first two albums were produced by Mellow Records, then the move to AMS Records followed.
