Chicken skewers

As chicken skewers skewers of fried are chicken called on a wooden or metal skewer. Chicken skewers are mainly used as a satay dish in Indonesian cuisine and, based on this, in modern Dutch cuisine ( Kip Saté ).

preparation

For the classic Indonesian preparation of chicken skewers, the meat of young chickens is cut into cubes and rubbed with a finely mashed mixture of finely chopped onions, garlic , palm sugar , coriander , cumin , lemongrass , kaffir lime leaves , tamarind juice , coconut milk and salt and then rubbed on a wooden skewer plugged. The skewers are drizzled with coconut oil and cooked.

In the Dutch fast-food kitchen, chicken skewers are particularly common with peanut sauce (saté) as kip saté .
