Hülsenberg Chapel

The Hülsenberg near Langerwehe is a 203 m high hill. He was hotly contested in November 1944 during the battle in the Huertgen Forest . The Hülsenberg is the northern part of the Kammerbusch landscape garden .

The old chapel from the 18th century was destroyed in the fighting in World War II and rebuilt in 1950. The list of monuments of the municipality of Langerwehe describes it as a niche-shaped chapel building made of quarry stone with brick patches, which houses a baroque life-size crucifixion group made of wood inside . The floor plan is square with rounded corners at the back. The gable roof with a back hip is covered with slate .
