Gregor (32) and Pietschi (30) go sailing together at Pentecost every year. Gregor is a successful doctor, married to Andrea. Pietschi has not yet had a long relationship, lives over a bar, has no regular income. While the brothers are on vacation together, Pietschi disappears without a trace during a joint visit to the bar. Andrea has been away for a while without her husband.
Gregor keeps calling his brother without reaching him. He asks friends and acquaintances of his brother whether they have seen him. When a new neighbor was mistaken for Pietschi, Gregor received his brother Pietschi's apartment keys. He looks in the apartment for clues about his brother's whereabouts, recognizes a woman in photos, the employee in the bar, Jule, he befriends her, does something with her.
Gregor spends more and more time in Pietschi's apartment, neglecting his work, ignoring the calls from his wife Andrea, who is on vacation, lying to himself and others. He reads his brother's mail, wears his clothes, sleeps in his bed and finally also with Jule, his brother's ex-girlfriend.
Many details of the last conversations between Gregor and Pietschi that Gregor can remember are shown in the flashback.

“The psychodrama about a German Jedermann in his early 30s who exchanges his supposed happiness in a row house for the wild, chaotic life of his missing brother, is largely exhausted in trivial (meaning) images. Despite having a convincing main actor, the strikingly staged debut film fails to translate its promising scenario into an enigmatic plot. "

Filming began in July 2013 in Cologne. The film was finished after 26 days of shooting.
