Həsənsu ( German  Hasansu or Grünfeld ) - is a settlement in the municipality of Ağstafa (Rayon) in western Azerbaijan .

etymology

The current name of the settlement was named after the nearby river. The settlement of the German settlers under the name Green Field (Alekseyevka), which, however, in the postwar years in honor of was founded Sergey Kirov in Kirovka had been renamed.

history

The settlement was founded in 1906 by the German settlers who had already settled in Azerbaijan. Since January 24, 1939, the settlement was incorporated into the Ağstafa district . On December 4, 1959, the Ağstafa district was dissolved and Grünfeld was relocated to the Qazax district .

On April 24, 1990, the village was relocated to the newly formed Ağstafa District and renamed Həsənsu on December 29, 1992.

Həsənsu is located on the banks of the river of the same name at an altitude of 375 meters above sea level. From the district center Ağstafa the settlement is 6 km and 439 km from Baku removed.
