HD 27894 is a main sequence star of spectral class K2 in the constellation Reticulum (network), about 143 light years away . It has an apparent magnitude of 9.4 mag. The star is orbited by an exoplanet with an orbital period of around 18 days.

Planetary companion

The exoplanet HD 27894 b was discovered by Mayor et al. discovered using the radial velocity method and published in 2005. The orbit has a major semi-axis of approx. 0.12  astronomical units with a slight eccentricity . The minimum mass M · sin (i) of the object is 0.6 masses of Jupiter (approx. 200  earth masses ).
