HD 68988 b is an exoplanet that orbits the yellow dwarf HD 68988 every 6.277 days . Due to its high mass , it is assumed that it is a gas planet .
discovery
The planet was determined using the radial velocity method by Paul Butler et al. discovered in 2001 .
Circulation and mass
The planet orbits its star at a distance of approx. 0.07 astronomical units with an eccentricity of 0.14 and has a minimum mass of approx. 1.9 Jupiter masses (approx. 600 earth masses ).
