HIV mobile

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

HIV-mobil is a highly specialized home care service for people with HIV and AIDS in Vienna .

The association was founded in 1999 by Beate Dannoritzer, based on an initiative of the AIDS Stammtisch network meeting under the leadership of Burgl Helbich-Poschacher (AIDS-Dienst-Malteser) and Christian Michelides (self-help association People and Aids (Club Plus)) acts as managing director of the association. The HIV specialist Wolfgang Steflitsch acts as medical director, Eva Stifter is responsible for care supervision. The nurse Günter Geyer and the social worker Thomas Fröhlich were also significantly involved in the establishment. The project was financed from 1999 to 2004 solely by Life Ball and then jointly by Life Ball and the City of Vienna. The primary goal of the association's mission statement is holistic care , based on respect for the people who are cared for, "regardless of age, religion, origin, social position and sexual orientation without moral evaluation".

The association is networked nationally and internationally, cooperates with the two Viennese HIV stations Annenheim at the OWS and 4-Süd at the AKH , with AIDS-Hilfe Wien, Lighthouse Wien and a number of caring residential facilities. The nursing service has decisively shaped the development of the guidelines for HIV home care and actively supported the demands of the Austrian AIDS community for AIDS 2010 in Vienna.
