The HMCS Toronto (FFH 333) is a Halifax-class frigate of the Canadian Navy . She is named after the Canadian city of Toronto and is the second ship to bear this name.
She was built between 1990 and 1992 by Saint John Shipbuilding in Saint John , New Brunswick , declared operational in 1994 and put into service.
history
Just one year after its commissioning, in 1995, the Toronto took part in "Operation Victory", the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the end of the war in Europe . In 1998 he was deployed in the Persian Gulf to monitor the embargo against Iraq as part of "Operation Determination".
