SEP 2.0

The Staffing Exchange Protocol (SEP) is a family of XML specifications used to support data transactions in recruiting. This includes the data transfer of job advertisements between the HR information system (HRIS) and online job exchanges. It also serves to transfer applicant data between different HRIS.

The current version of the SEP was developed with the participation of a large number of international representatives from various interest groups. These included companies, government employment agencies, recruiting companies, job and career portals, applicant tracking system providers, assessment providers, and HRIS providers.

SIDES

The Staffing Industry Data Exchange Standard (SIDES) was developed to automate the exchange of data between HR information systems and temporary employment agencies.

The SIDE standard offers software providers a standardized interface to connect temporary employment agencies, third-party providers and corporate customers.

The underlying principle is based on automating the data exchange with many providers or customers through the reusable SIDES interface.
