Albrecht Gehring (born April 15, 1898 in Hakedahl (today in Detmold ), † March 7, 1985 in Lage (Lippe) ) was a German CDU politician .

Life and work

After graduating from the Leopoldinum humanistic grammar school in Detmold in 1916, Gehring, who was an evangelical reformist , was initially a soldier in the First World War . He then completed an agricultural apprenticeship and then an agricultural degree in Halle (Saale) . After graduating as a qualified farmer, he took over his parents' farm Gut Büllinghausen in 1928 .

From 1945 to 1955 he was a board member of the Chamber of Agriculture Westphalia-Lippe. He later became a member of the board of directors of the Landesbank für Westfalen in Münster, the board of trustees of the Institute for Breeding Research of the Max Planck Society in Vogelsang and the board of trustees of the Federal Research Institute for Agriculture in Braunschweig .

Gehring joined the CDU in 1948.

MP

Gehring was a member of the Economic Council of the Bizone from 1948 to 1949 . In September 1949 he was a member of the 1st Federal Assembly . From 1957 to 1964 he was also a member of the district council in the Lemgo district . From 1953 to 1957 he was head of the regional association Lippe , from 1957 to 1961 deputy chairman of the regional assembly Westphalia-Lippe and then until 1964 its chairman.

From 1957 to 1965 Gehring was a member of the German Bundestag .
