The Bayer Business Services GmbH (BBS) is one of three service companies Bayer AG . As a business process outsourcing partner and IT service provider, it serves a large part of the Bayer AG subgroups. "External" customers are only served with a lower priority; Accordingly, the central key account area was dissolved at the beginning of 2008 and divided into the business areas. BBS currently generates around 80% of its sales with customers from the Bayer Group - just under 20 percent are generated outside the Bayer Group, most of which are from the former Bayer subsidiary Lanxess . The trade journal Computerwoche lists Bayer Business Services GmbH in its ranking of the one hundred most important IT companies in 2007. Bayer Business Services ranks in the Lünendonk (R) list "Market sample of IT service companies in Germany" published in May 2007 in seventh place based on annual sales.

BBS was spun off from Bayer AG in 2002 as part of the reorganization of the "The New Bayer" group and has been headed by Andreas Resch (Managing Director) and Norbert Fieseler (Labor Director) since 2004 . Daniel Hartert has been the company's managing director since January 1st, 2009.

BBS offers services in the areas of IT, procurement, accounting, human resources, strategic and legal advice.
