HA Peter

HA Peter , pseudonym for Peter Adolf Fleischner (born November 10, 1904 in Vienna , † April 13, 1977 in Borås , Sweden ), was an Austro-Swedish composer and musician with piano and clarinet as main instruments. He studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna , including for Franz Schmidt .

Since he was Jewish, he fled Germany to Finland via Hungary and the Baltic States in 1938 . He came to Sweden through contacts in 1944.

He was active as a choir director and music teacher in Borås, Sweden from 1944 to 1977 . He also worked as a choirmaster at the Vienna State Opera under Wilhelm Furtwängler .
