Haßlacherberg range

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Haßlacherbergkette ( Haßlacherberg , Haßlacherberge ) is a landscape name for a hilly landscape west of Kronach . It forms a northern tip of the Upper Main hill country and is bordered in the south by the Schmölzer Senke or Verwerfung , in the west by the Steinach Valley , in the north by the Burggruber Senke and the Franconian Line and in the east by the Haßlachtal and from Kronach to Johannisthal by the Rodachtal .

geology

The Haßlacherberg presents itself as a red sandstone plateau, the incline of which is generally inclined up to 80 degrees towards the Franconian Forest .

Waters

The western boundary of the Haßlacherberg is formed by the Steinach and in the direction of Burggrub also by the Föritz , whose tributary "Untere Föritz" rises on the Haßlacherberg. In the south, the Krebsbach are at foot: the Krebsbach (Steinach) and the Krebsbach (Rodach) , both of which arise on the mountain. Other tributaries of the Krebsbach (to the Rodach) are the Kieferiggraben and the Zigeunergraben. At the eastern border the Haßlach runs southwards with its tributaries Geiersbach, Steinbach, Eiersbach, Seelabach and Dobersgrundbach. In Kronach it flows into the Rodach, which takes in the Krebsbach in Johannisthal. In the north, in the Burggruber valley, the Lochbach and the Haigerbach flowing towards it run towards the Haßlach.
