history
In April 1966, Division II of Telecommunications Regiment 33 was set up. On April 24, 1968, the completed air defense radar began the 24-hour shift work. On August 1, 1971, the II. Department of the Telecommunications Regiment 33 was dissolved by merging with the newly structured V teaching group of the Air Force Technical School 2 (V./TSLw 2). From 1994 with the merger of the technical schools of the Air Force 1 and 2 to form TSLw 1 in Kaufbeuren, then the 5th teaching group of the Technical School 1 ) of the Air Force . At the same time, the air force security squadron (LwSichStff) Erndtebrück combat command system was set up. On October 1, 2004, the V./Technische Schule der Luftwaffe 1 was dissolved as part of a solemn roll call in the Hachenberg barracks in Erndtebrück. The new operational command area 2 was then reorganized .
The disused air defense bunker Erndtebrück now serves partly as a museum.
