history

Hackfeld (Hacvelde) is first mentioned around 1250. The name probably indicates a form of agriculture practiced there in prehistoric times. Tree trunks were cut down, the stumps were left standing and rye was sown in between after surface chopping . After the harvesting of the stumps driven out again and there was a new coppice .

Hackfeld was an old Bruchhausen estate. Four houses belonging to a certain Bolland and a house belonging to Arnoldus de Dalim ("house" stands for "court") were feudal people of the Bruchhäuser and later the Hoya Counts . So the place must have been more important than it is today. Perhaps one or more farms were deserted during the plague of 1350 .

The owner of two farms in the late Middle Ages was able to take over the Alexanderstift Wildeshausen, of which in 1529 "penny pensions" had to be paid to this monastery. In addition, the monastery in Hackfeld had usage rights for pig fattening .

Around 1700 there was a Vollmeierhof and two Halbmeierhöfe in Hackfeld , which were created by dividing a Vollmeierhof. In 1824 there were four dwellings in Hackfeld, and in 1895 there were six dwellings with 39 inhabitants.
