The Katenbäke is a river in the Lower Saxony districts of Diepholz and Oldenburg .

The 13 km long tributary of the Hunte on the right has its source west of the Twistringen district of Altenmarhorst directly on the K 104 (Colnrader Straße). It then flows in a north-westerly direction through the Dehmse forest , further between the places Reckum and Winkelsett and then further west towards Wildeshausen . It flows into the Hunte south of the Katenbäker Heide and north of the Pestruper Moor nature reserve .

Eel , brown trout , perch , bream , pike , sea ​​trout , roach and pikeperch can be fished in the stream .
