The Pestruper Moor is a nature reserve (NSG) in the district of Oldenburg . It is located southeast of the urban area of Wildeshausen , northwest of the Pestrup burial ground as part of the nature reserve " Pestrup burial ground and rose garden " between the K 248 and the east flowing Hunte .

description

The protected area with the license plate no. NSG WE 074 is 35 ha . It contains a fen that is largely overgrown by forest and is to be secured. Silting areas are formed in former hand peat cuttings . Due to heavy rewetting , the area is of particular importance for moor and moisture-loving animal and plant species.

history

With the first ordinance and the valid ordinance of December 11, 1939, the "Pestruper Moor" area was declared a nature reserve. The district of Oldenburg is responsible as the lower nature conservation authority.
