The Harberner Heide is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon community of Wardenburg in the Oldenburg district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 228 is 45.5 hectares in size. The area is located southwest of Oldenburg and south of the coastal canal . It is part of the formerly extensive Vehnemoor complex in the Hunte-Lada moorland. In the past, the raised bog area was heavily modified by manual peat digging and industrial potting . After the end of use and rewetting , it can slowly regenerate.
The area has been a nature reserve since September 21, 1996. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Oldenburg.
