The Benthullener Moor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Wardenburg in the district of Oldenburg .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG WE 156 is 270 hectares in size. It has been a nature reserve since December 22, 1984. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Oldenburg
The nature reserve is located southwest of Oldenburg . It places part of the formerly extensive Vehnemoorkomplex in the Hunte - Leda Moors under protection. The raised bog was largely peeled off , but not cultivated afterwards, so that today it is largely covered with bushes or forested. There are also silting hand peat cuttings and damp heathland . Part of the nature reserve consists of grassland that is used for agriculture. The drainage takes place via the eastern receiving waters to the coastal canal .
A few hundred meters north of the “Benthuller Moor” nature reserve is the “ Harberner Heide ” nature reserve .
