The Wunderburger Moor is a nature reserve in the municipality of Harpstedt in the district of Oldenburg in Lower Saxony .

description

The 34 hectare nature reserve with the license plate number NSG WE 126 is located 4 km northwest of the center of Harpstedt . It contains a very well developed peat bog . The landscape is characterized by a varied mixture of open water areas, bog heaths, reed beds , small sedges between bogs and birch forests . The area may only be entered on the marked paths.

history

By ordinance of June 9, 1967, the "Wunderburger Moor" area was declared a nature reserve. The district of Oldenburg is responsible as the lower nature conservation authority.
