Hadrianopolis (Paphlagonia)

Hadrianopolis ( Greek Ἁδριανόπολις , also Άδριανούπολις Hadrianoupolis ) was an ancient city in the Paphlagonian landscape in northern Asia Minor . It was located in the hilly landscape between today's places Eskipazar , Budaklar, Büyükyayalar and Çayli in the Turkish province of Karabük .
Originally the city was called Caesarea Proseilemmeitai until they honor of the Roman Emperor Hadrian in Hadrianopolis has been renamed. So far, only small parts of the extensive city area have been examined, and mosaics with everyday scenes from the lives of the residents have also been documented.
