Hadrobregmus denticollis is a beetle fromthe rodent beetle family (Ptinidae). There the species belongs to the subfamily Anobiinae .
features
The elongated beetles are 4.5–6 mm long. The short and densely haired beetles have a dark brown basic color. At the front corners of the neck shield is a small triangular-shaped area. The base of the pronotum is hairy yellow along its entire length. The wing covers have rows of points. Typical of the representatives of the Anobiinae are also at Hadrobregmus denticollis the last three sensor elements considerably longer than the rest.

distribution
The species occurs mainly in western Central Europe. However, it is also represented in England, the Iberian Peninsula , Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
Way of life
The beetles can be found on dry hardwoods. The females drill holes in the wood where they lay their eggs. The presumably 2-year larval development takes place in the wood. The adults appear in autumn and overwinter. You can see them from spring to June.
