The Hadweenzic River is a 150 km long right tributary of the Yukon River in central Alaska .
It rises in the Interior south of the Brooks range , flows first in an easterly direction and then turns in a wide arc to the south. 70 km southwest of Fort Yukon it flows into the Yukon River. The entire course of the Hadweenzic River lies in the Yukon Flats National Wildlife Refuge .
The Aboriginal name for the river was recorded by Deacon Hudson Stuck in 1907 . In 1926 the United States Geological Survey reported the name "Orenzik".
