The port of Riesa is a port on the Elbe in the north of the large district town of Riesa . It is operated by the Sächsische Binnenhäfen Oberelbe GmbH.
history
On the basis of a government proposal, the 1st Chamber of the Saxon State Parliament decided in January 1886 to build an industrial and railway port in Riesa, which began operations on September 3, 1888.
traffic
The port of Riesa is connected to the B182 federal road and to the Deutsche Bahn rail network .

- Depot management offered.
A container service hall, a container handling building and a container parking area in the south port have been available for this purpose since 2015.
Only a fraction of the goods (less than 10%) are handled by ship.
