The Haffner Pass is a mountain pass in the north of Alexander I Island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It runs at an altitude of around 500 m between the Gilbert Glacier and the Mozart Piedmont Glacier .
The British Antarctic Survey carried out surveys between 1975 and 1977. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1980 based on the naming of the Mozart Piedmont Glacier after the Haffner Symphony by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart from 1782.
