Hagen Müller

Hagen Müller (born November 17, 1944 in Posen ) is a German politician and former North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament member of the SPD .

Life and work

After attending elementary school , he trained as a post office worker and then worked in this profession. From 1979 to 1992 he was a member of the staff council at the Iserlohn post office , including two years as chairman.

He joined the SPD in 1972. He is active in numerous committees of the party, for example as chairman of the SPD city association Menden (Sauerland). He is also, since 1959 a member of the Postal Workers 'Union since 2001 ver.di and member of the workers' welfare .

MP

From May 30, 1985 to May 30, 1990 and from March 5, 1992 to May 31, 1995, Müller was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was directly elected in constituency 151 Märkischer Kreis IV and thus ousted Hermann-Josef Geismann . In the eleventh electoral term, he only moved up after a ruling by the Constitutional Court , after MP Petra Böckelmann ( CDU ) had been withdrawn from office due to incorrect vote counting.

He was a member of the city council of the city of Menden (Sauerland) since 1975.
